Sister Monica Mai, who has taught primary and secondary students and is a former prioress here, currently is on the chaplaincy staff of Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. Sister also leads spiritual retreats and Marriage Encounter programs.

Sister Catherine Manning, who raised a family before making her first profession as a Benedictine in 1995, today serves individuals in her pastoral care ministry.

Sister Connie Ostrander has taught in many settings -- middle school and in programs for the emotionally disturbed and learning disabled. A former prioress for her community, Sister Connie has served as an educational consultant and public speaker, and since 1994 has served the Diocese of Mandeville, Jamaica, West Indies on development, and projects for the poor. She and another Benedictine Sister have cared provided care for Jamaican children.

Sister Karen Streveler, In her more than 25 years as a Benedictine, Sister Karen's ministries have focused on parochial school teaching, spiritual direction and embracing new knowledge and experiences. Her post- master's degree studies include teaching techniques, theology and courses in photography and visual themes. Sister produces a steady stream of greeting cards, book-marks and distinctive nature photos.

The Benedictines of Saint Bede Monastery, a community with 35 members, includes nine Sisters who reside at Clairemont Nursing & Rehabilitation.
